aww days off..

allan has had yesterday and today off. Tomorrow he goes to day shift so that will be nice to have him around still at night. We are getting the garage cleaned up this week so that they can install our opener on friday. We have been explorihng around our new neighborhood some this week. We have also been getting comfy with our new little doggie. He is a cute funny little thing. He is very relaxed the only time he gets excited is when we come home from being gone. HE jumps on us and barks so happy to see us. lol.. he doesn't do it when new people show up just when we come home. I don't think he likes being alone. We are going to put up some halloween lights and decorations on allan's next days off. We bought some orange and purple lights and a little strobe light for the front window. We have had a bunch of homework to do this week to. Lastnight we invited friends over and had ham, mashed potatoes, corn, dressing and football. It was realy yummy. Wlamart has a ham that is in a purple foil thing. I don't know the name of it but we have had it twice and it comes with a little sauce to put over it. It's delicious. We really don't cook ham too much other than holidays so it was yummy last night. Allan even liked it and he isn't a big ham fan. ;-)
Anyway i'm going to get off here. Lilly wants to go to the park and either me or her daddy has to take her. lol
p.s. mirya we got the package of clothes. thank you!

WE got a dog.

Okay i have to get lilly in bed and get in the shower but i want to post a few pics while i have a second. I'll have to write about our weekend later. The highlights are i went to bingo and won tons of money like 13 or 1400 dollars. We also got emma a new bike with my winnigs and a new garage door opener is going to be getting installed in the next few days.!! yeah!! But the biggest highlight is that we got our little dog. Which i think we got permission to name him toby. I think lilly was set on toby as his name no matter what. She thinks we got grammy sandy's dog i think. He is black and long like toby but his name was " scooby" which i guess sounds enough like toby cause he will answer to it. Anyway enjoy the pics i'll write more later.

we found a new little restaruant called the queen creek cafe. It reminds me of wyoming alot. There are ropes and saddles and very western looking things in there. It's good though. We have only been for breakfast but they have a special every night. Fridays they do an all you can eat fish fry. This gadget shows us how much electricity we are using each hour. you can see the difference when you turn off a light or turn on the washer and dryer. Allan says i'm becoming obsessed with this toy. lol.. I think it's neat.

He also thinks i'm a dork cause i keep taking pictures of silly things but it's so that i can share my day with you all.

I got these shoes at walmart. The last two pairs have came from walmart and i have to say i'm impressed with their style these days. They have really cute shoes for kids. Lilly has gotten multiple comments about both pairs and they always ask where did you get them. I think it's funny when i say WALMART.

Lilly found the park today. She sported some static in her hair from the slide. Right now she is yelling at me about the park. She really liked it so i think that we may make that a nightly routine. There were tons of kids out playing. All older than lilly but emma will make some good friends. The elementary school down the street had a parents night so alot of people walk to and from the school. We saw alot of parents walking home from there. It's nice that it is so close.

Here is a picture of the play equipment at the park. There is also a basketball court and a big field. This park is at the end of our street so very close for us.

This is the front of our house. I wasn't sure if i ever posted a picture of it??

What are these blooming bushes. Everything in my backyard is purple. I like them but i want some other color besides purple. We have other bushes and they are purple too. The landscapers got stuck on purple i think..

The sweetest smile i saw all day!! She is learning how to ride her tricycle. Steering or pedaling but she wasn't great at doing both together. She did manage to do them both for little spurts and this is her smile when she did.

Lilly playing in " emma's room" she thinks it's emma's room not hers. lol. They are sharing this room for th etime being. We will probably put in bunkbeds soon.

Getting Comfy

We spent the first night in our house last night. We got just about all the big stuff including the beds moved in here so we stayed here. It was nice. Except we found out the hard way that the air was set to basically not run during the night. WEll it was set to 80 or something. WE are more like 75 kinda people so both allan, lilly , and I were all sweating pretty much the whole night. Its funny because i turned it down to like 73 right before i got in bed thinking it was going to be hot in there with lilly in our bed ( yes first night in new house she slept with us) So i guess during hte night while we were all sweating it never occured to us to go check and see what the thermostat was on. lol.. It was set to run on a schedule so it switched back over to 80 in the middle of the night. Lilly has been having tons of fun running around the new house. I think she really likes it. She does not like to feel like she is alone in here though. I was in the bathroom in our bedroom but i guess she didn't look in there cause she went downstairs to find me when i called for her. I thought it had taken her a long time to come see what i wanted so i went to find her and poor thing i found her downstairs next to the front door sitting on the floor crying hard. She thought that i wasn't here with her i guess. So we are staying where she can see us or telling her where we are until she feels like it's more home. We took her to the apartment today so she could see it was all empty and to get the last few things we had there. She kept saying.. " gone" couch gone, toys gone, trash gone, lol everything was gone. lol.. Liz it made me think about maddie and how she says " someone stole it" well lilly just says " gone" for everything that is missing. she doesn't even start to reason why it's gone.
Allan is at the gym tonight. We have tons to do but really it's quite livable as is. We already have our cable set up. That got done today and we have phone and internet because it's a package deal so we are pretty ready to go. I went grocery shopping tonight and finally got a curtain for the bathroom window so i plan to really enjoy my soak in the tub tonight.. Last night i couldn't resist taking a hot bath my muscles hurt so bad from days of moving crap so i decided i didn't care i was taking a bath. We have a huge window right by the bathtub. It lets in alot of pretty light but we are going to have to figure out something for it soon a curtain will do till then. Anyway i had to play stealth mode to get into and out of the bath tub without giving our neighbors a show i'm sure they didn't want to see. lol.. It's fine when you are in the tub cause the window is above it. Its just bad when standing up in the tub to get out.So anyway tonight i don't have to play army ranger to get a soak thank goodness.
Lilly is in her bedroom with a movie and so i'm going to go enjoy the quiet and wait for allan to get back home. Goodnight everyone.

why me?? seriously..

I'm having a bit of a pity party and a bit of an I'm ticked off party all rolled into one tonight. So tomorow is the BIG moving day. We are going to try and get it all out. You know what would help?? my car. Yeah so tonight we were going to celebrate getting out of our apartment and into our home by eating out. ( our things are packed up so the kitchen is out of order temp.) on the way to dinner my car made a funny noise. We turned down music andair and listened and then when we got to the light it sounded even worse when we tried to move from the light it pretty much took it's last breath and died completely. I am talking about the new car that i just bought. The 2006 vw jetta. YEah.. I have some horrible luck with cars i tell ya. Anyway so it took us till ten tonight to get the tow truck all set up and now it's at the dealers waiting for me to call them in the am with a mouthful. We think it is the power steering pump that went out and hur thte fan under it and we just aren't really sure what else happened. I haven't even made my first payment. I'm thinking this should be covered under a lemon law.. ?? Either way it should all definetly be under the super dooper warranty that i paid good money for. We will find out tomorrow. But that puts a small kink in the day because i am suppose to be moving but i will be at the dealers yelling and screaming. lol. then i'll be moving after that in hopefully the rental car they are suppose to provide me with if they have to keep my car. ;-)
So wihs me luck tomorrow. oh and that neighbor that sold me this car.. yeah my dog is going to poop in his yard forever.!! I'm tempted to let emma start a dogwalking business and have her let all other dogs poop in their yard too. lol

a day of rest..

Yes today was suppose to be my day of rest and it was for the most part. I went to the store for some juice and a few other things but other than that i only packed about 6 boxes. So that was my day of rest. lol.. I didn't move any boxes and our house and apartment are in utter disarray but hey that's what moving does right.. ?? lol.
I watched a few football games today too. MAN IT WAS A CRAZY DAY FOR FOOTBALL. I can not believe all the upsets we had today. What else?? Allan had to work a little later than normal i guess he had a pretty rough day out at the mill. He is fast asleep now like i should be but i can't sleep. seriously i think i have insomnia. (sp?) It doesn't help that our realtor is set on finding me a job. I'm not sure why she has devoted her life to me but it looks like she has. lol. She was in the medical field for 20 or 30 years before going into realty. She was an administrator for a staffing company that provides the banner hospitals with ER Doctors. yeah so anyway when we met with her before she would always ask me if i found a job or looked here or there yet. ( which i havne't because i wasn't really actively looking for a job yet) Anyway i told her that everything i had been hearing is that new grads have a really hard time finding good jobs in the hospitals and well Banner in particular doesn't hire to many because they get their own right out of school. When we met with her to sign our papers for the house last week she asked me again and then told me that i must be right because she had talked to two different higher ups that she knew at banner and both of them said " yep good luck" basically. Well anyway to get to the end of my story apparently she has set her mind to finding me a job cause she emailed me tonight and said the lady that took her job was at her nephews birthday party and she talked to her about me. The lady said she was going to staff the ER for the new hospital opening 5 minutes from our new house. She said she doesn't have any nurse openings but she might have a secretarial or tech job to get my foot in the door. I know i know it's not nursing and that is what i went to school and am still going to school for.. But if i can get my foot in the door anyway at all in that new hospital it would be worth it. Otherwise where ever i am going to work is going to be a drive. So the lady was goign to call me but wants me to send her my resume. So i did tonight. We will see what happens. I'm hoping to hear something from her and i don't even care if it's nursing or not for right now. I could work on sweetening up those doctors in the ER and watch the going on's for a while and keep working on my BSN then.. suprise them into giving me a job. haha.. Okay so i'm off to go think good thoughts and dream good dreams about getting into the hospital that i want to work for. Sneaky or not I want in there!! I will get in there it just might take some time and some crappy jobs before i do. But hey i did 8 years in the navy.. i've done crappy jobs. I loved the navy but I have done some bottom of the ladder jobs there before. good night everyone. Please say a prayer about this. If i'm suppose to be there i'm sure it will all work out according to his plan but still say a prayer for me if you think about it. ;-)

moving and shaking

Well this is day three of moving and still not done. I'm thinking we really should have just rented a uhual or hired movers.. haha. We had help today. John and his wife Serra came and helped out. Annna also showed up later in the day after getting lost trying to find out house. Yes we are moving to the boonies. haha. Anyway we got alot of store cleared out of storage and put away into our new house. We also got a couple of the big entertainment centers moved over to the new place so our cable is waiting to be hooked up on wed. I'm thinking our first night in our house will be tuesday nightcause allan is off tuesday and wed so we should be able to be out of here or at least have all of our stuff out of here and just cleaning left to do. I don't think our stuff will ever be fully unpacked at the new house though. haha.. jeff and anna are going to help out on tuesday and john said he would come help after work if we still needed help so it's nice to have some friends helping out. We got alot of stuff put to the side for a yardsale and stuff that we have already sold put into the garage for people to come pick up later. Allan is already asleep and it's not even 9. He has to work in the am and i'm sure he got a good workout today moving all that stuff. Lilly was distraught that our tv's were gone. she kept putting her hands on her hips saying " daddy took my teeveee" so she is watching a movie in her bed on the portable dvd player and i'm almost willing to bet that when i go in there she is going to be fast asleep. We will see. We had pizza and swam with our friends at the new house. We have no idea about how to work the pool yet so once we get in there allan is going to have a new hobby. it's pretty nice but has a few leaves floating around and some salt on the sides that needs to be scrubbed off of there. I've done a ton of loads of laundry already cause everything needed to be washed after if came from storage. I have to say the washer and dryer are awesome!! nicest ones i have ever had. Also the fridge is pretty nice. It's fancy though and has a ton of buttons on it too. you can get measured cups out of it. measured in ounces, cups, or liters.. or water bottle size. crazy huh.. Its all exhausting but pretty amazing. I liked our first house and it will always be a little senitmental but thinking about selling it and getting this.. well they are like night and day difference. It's just a really amazing house and we are so happy with it. I could go on and on about everything about it but i'm sure you all are sick of hearing about it. so my main point is that we love it and we are really happy about getting to have such a wonderful home for our kido's to play in. Our street is very quiet outside too. We don't hear a peep when we go out. I've seen a few neighbors. we are excited for trick or treating hoping that we will meet some then if not before.
Emma is coming up this weekend with her mama. I think they are going to come hang out one night while allan is at work and we will probably keep emma the weekend. Lilly is very excited to see " her emma" . i plan to swim with them and take the girls to the park and maybe even for some bikes and wagon rides maybe. Test out our new roads.
Anyway i have another long day of homework and packing so i better get to bed too. good night everyone.

We got a new house.. ahhhhhh!

Yes we did sign for our house yesterday and have already started moving boxes from storage and a few from the apartment. There's sooooo much to do i'm getting a bit overwhelmed. My friend serra helped this morning and i'm taking a break now before i go start to pack the kitchen up here and then lilly's room. YUCK!! But i love love love our new home and i'm really excited about getting totally moved into it. I can't wait to actually start staying there. We had a little celebration last night after we moved some things in we ate dinner and went swimming in the pool just allan, lilly and myself. It was good family time. I posted pics of lilly being silly in my closet. She was playing dress up with my stuff and then some pictures of us swimming in the pool. We have wanted to take a dip each time we went out there this summer so it only felt right to celebrate by jumping in.

house walk thru done

Today we went out and did our final walk through of the house. They are finsihing up some things but pretty minor things and we have a home warranty so we know that if anything isn't working they will fix it. So they had to order a soft water system for us because tehy couldn't fix the one they had put in before. So we got a super duper one. I think they usually go for around 5-600 but this one is 1000 bucks. So that's nice that we don't have to pay for it! What else. There is a low part in the yard and so they are putting a pipe under and a catch tank to re route some of the water. It's not by the house or anything but they still wanted to fix that before we moved in. What else?? i have a gas stove and i love it! it's really neat to finally have one. the only concern there is that ms lilly can turn the knobs. So we are going to have to watch out for that. They were finishing painting in the garage today and airing that out for us. There was an office in there for the maintenance team but since they moved out they are restoring it back to normal and that even included a paint job. It's pretty amazing. The ordered a whole box of air filters for us just to have and they ordred a can of every color paint that is in the house. Pretty awesome too huh? I'm just amazed with it so far. Everything is new and nice and i'm sure we aren't goign to know how to work a thing in this house but it will be fun to learn. lol.. like the pool ?? we have never had to take care of one of those before. Oh and the house is wired for sound?? but wehave to hook it up?? not sure when we will get around to that. lol.. anyway we are getting excited because we finally get the keys on thursday or friday. woohoo!!! We have already decided that we aren't goign to stay a night in the house though till allan has a day off and we are all moved in with tv's connected and food in the fridge. Then it will be like we are really moved in. i just didn't want to stay there alone when he is working nights for the first night. I'm a scaredy cat i guess. But a new house has new sounds and new people in the neighborhood and well.. yeah i want him home with me. ;0) anyway just wanted to share some of our excitement with you all!

Sermon Jam 13 - The Fourth Man; Christ Throughout Scripture

Well we went to another church today. Allan was working so i went with my friend anna. It was an assembly of god church in chandler. I liked it alot more than the other one. It was small and had a very welcoming and close feeling. This is the video that the preacher played at the end of his sermon. I thought it was very moving. I'm going to see if allan will go chek this church out with me on a day that he has off. They do have wed night service so maybe we will go to that cause he is off on wed night. This church isn't at all close to our new house but it could do till we found one close to us. Plus we already have some freinds that go there so it would be a very nice place to start.

football party recipe.. taken from cooking tip of the day

I found this recipe and it is so yummy.. The bread part can be tiem consuming but you can just use regular pizza dough. anyway here's the recipe.

Recipe: Stromboli Made With Italian Herb and Garlic DoughAll you need:Pizza dough (homemade or store bought)5-6 slices Genoa Salami, very thinly sliced5-6 slices Provolone cheese, thinly sliced5-6 slices ham, thinly sliced¼ cup sliced black olives1 large roasted pepper (jarred in oil), chopped¾ cup mozzarella, shredded (fine or regular)1 egg, beaten with 1 teaspoon water for egg wash2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

For the Italian Herb and Garlic Dough you will need:2 cups of flour1 packet Fleishmans Rapid Rise yeast¾ cup warm tap water½ teaspoon sugar½ teaspoon salt1 tablespoon dried Italian Seasoning1 tablespoon garlic flavored olive oil1 tablespoon olive oilAll you need to do to make the Italian Herb and Garlic Dough:In a measuring cup… combine the water, yeast and sugar. Allow the yeast to form a “head” like a beer… about 10 minutes…this way you are sure the yeast will work to make the dough rise. In a mixer bowl for a mixer fitted with dough hook, combine the flour, salt, Italian Seasoning, garlic olive oil and yeast in water. On medium speed, let the dough hook mix the dough. Stop the mixer periodically and knead the dough by hand by rolling the dough a bit to incorporate the ingredients.Continue to allow the mixer to knead the dough until it feels like “chewed bubble gum”…. If it feels sticky … add a little more flour… a ½ tablespoon at a time… if it’s dry and crumbly… add a little water… a ½ tablespoon at a time. Hand knead it a bit to make sure you have all the ingredients incorporated and form a ball.Pour the 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a medium bowl, using a paper towel…quickly coat the inside of the bowl.Roll the dough ball in the bowl to coat with the olive oil.Cover with plastic wrap or a damp cotton towel and place in a warm place that doesn’t have a draft. I usually heat my oven to warm then turn it off when I start the dough. When the dough is ready I put it into the oven …. Make sure the oven isn’t too warm… it should be around 100 degrees F.Let the dough rise until doubled in size (about an hour if you use the Rapid Rise yeast).

To assemble the Stromboli:Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease the pan.Flour a pastry board and place the dough on it… punch down the dough (deflate it) ….it will be very sticky… knead the dough into a ball using the flour from the board.Roll out the dough to a rectangle about 14 inches by 10 inches.Layer the ingredients on the dough leaving a 1 inch border.Brush the 1 inch border with the egg wash using a pastry brush.Carefully roll the dough and ingredients like a jelly roll starting on the long side.Tuck the ends in and pinch the dough.Pinch the dough where the dough ends to secure.Transfer the Stromboli to the prepared baking sheet.Brush the Stromboli with egg wash.Bake at 375 degrees F. for about 30 minutes or until light golden brown.Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the Stromboli with the grated Parmesan cheese.Return the pan to the oven and continue baking for another 5 minutes until golden brown and the cheese melts slightly.Remove from the oven and let it sit for about 15 minutes… Use a pizza cutter to cut thick slices and serve.

another medical tip ..

Okay i know that some of you know this but alot of you may not so i'm going to start adding tid bits that i have picked up from nursing school. I try to also put something that i found on the internet about what i'm talking about to reference.. anyway below is something that i learned in nursing school that i had no idea about really till then. I took the following paragraphs from another posting site. Our instructors had told us the same thing and i was thinking about this last night when i was cleaning a cut and had no alcohol in the whole house.. hope it helps someone.

I know when we were all children and you cut yourself of you scraped you knee, your mom would reach of one of two things. Alcohol, which we all hated because it burned so much, or she would get Hydrogen Peroxide, which didn't hurt all that much and it bubbled, which it the coolest thing in the world when you are 6 years old. Well parents, no longer reach for the Hydrogen Peroxide. And here is why i say this.... I am in nursing school and 4 weeks ago i did a rotation with a Wound Care nurse. If a patient has a big sore or a big wound she is a specialized nurse who does wound care. I noticed throughout the week that she never used any Hydrogen peroxide on any wounds. She said not only does it bubble and eat away and the bad bacteria in the wound, it is also eating away and bubbling away good tissue! This means you are actually doing more harm that good. Because the more of the good tissue that is eaten away, the longer the sore or cut takes to heal. Because it takes longer to heal, there is an increased risk for infection because it is open for a longer amount of time. She told me she never uses it because the patients in the hospital are already at risk for infection and she does'nt want anything to slow down wound healing. It is more beneficial to clean cut or scrape with Normal saline(you can get it any any drug store). Normal saline is almost the same as diluted salt water, but normal saline is sterile and salt water is not. As soon as the cut or scrape occurs, clean it with normal saline. Get two 4x4 gauze and apply a triple antibiotic ointment to the gauze side that will be touching the skin. Spread it around evenly. Apply both 4x4's to the wound and secure with tape by taping all edges like a window pane and the securing with look horizontal strips of tape. You don't want use the first little bit of the ointment that comes out of the tube, because it might be contaminated. You also don't want to squeeze the ointment directly from the tube onto the skin, because the tube could touch the wound making it more dirty. The dressing should be changed once a day and it is probably best to change it during bath time because your going to have to take the old bandage off anyway. Never use the same only gauze two days in a row. The wound care nurse also said, if you don't have any Normal Saline and all you have is hydrogen peroxide, dilute the peroxide. It should be about 3/4 water and may 1/4 peroxide. I will still eat away at the good and bad stuff, but it will not eat away as much and it would take alot longer than if you just poured it straight from the bottle.

a little add in

I forgot why i was telling a lilly story.. so the other part of her story is that she is cracking me up because she has a new habit. It's funny and yet annoying all in one. I'll ask her to do something like put a diaper in the trash and she will say " sorry" except she says it funny. It doesn't matter what it is that you ask her if she doesn't want to do it she just says " sorry" like your outta luck. lol she has gotten a few spankings over this now but it's a bit funny and me and her dad have been making fun of her behind her back. allan will ask me to take my car somewhere or something and i'll say " sooriee" that's more of how she says it. SHe is a great little helper and usually she wants to help with everything but if she doesn't want to help she now thinks she can just say sorry and that takes care of that. lol..

Oh and potty training is still as it has been. When she is naked in the house she will go no problem in the toilet everytime but as soon as i put the pull ups on her she pees. I'm tempted to just use the training pants and make her wear them if she gets them wet but i guess that's a little mean. ?? She is fine if she is naked but she doesn't get the concept of keeping any panties or diapers or pull ups dry. If she has bottoms on then they are meant to be peed in..

How about this game tonight. ALlan and i are really excited for football season to be starting back up. WE are switching teams and he is going to start rooting for the vikings. I haven't yet picked one but i'm keeping an eye on arizona and an eye on the saints. If the saints hadn't won the superbowl last year i probably would be picking them but that looks a little suspicous. lol.. i do like them cause drew brees went there from san diego and he was the quarterback when i was in san diego.. i'm glad he won. ! anyway the saints play the vikings tonight.. woot woot!!

lilly story

So it's business as usual around here. Allan is working a bunch but has friday off then does nights on saturday night. He has been ticking away at his schooling too. Only about three or 4 more classes i think till he has his degree in electronics. I started my first two classes for my 4 year degree. I don't even wanna talk about how many more to go.. lol. They aren't to bad just time consuming. However i did find time to go to bingo today and yes i WON!!! i won 700 bucks. Of course this is going towards our house closing costs and furniture and stuff. well just moving expenses really. But a win is a win and it was fun!

Lilly has been great. Her teachers at school think she is so funny. They tell me everyday what kind of things she was doing that cracked them up. Yesterday i picked her up and all the kids were covered in shaving cream. The teachers had let them play with it on their craft table. All the kids had it all over them. NOT LILLY.. nope they said she put a finger in it once or twice and said no way. lol.. i asked her why shse didn't want to play in it and she said " a mess" she was right it was a mess. Today i picked her up and they told me that she played hard outside and hada good day but when they came in from playing she was crying so the teacher asked her what was wrong and well she was crying because her shoes were dirty.. i think i may have a prissy little thing on my hands. lol. NOt really but she is pecurliar about messy things. she doesn't like her clothes to be wet at all and if something is dirty on her she tells me she needs a " bebe wipe" and that means she wants to scrub it with a baby wipe. Generally she is just a very happy little girl full of love and hugs and kisses. She has been carrying a babydoll just about everywhere she goes right now. She has 3 dolls. two i think are cabbage patch kids and they get no attention but the one that cries and moves it's eyes.. well that baby goes everywhere with her. Only one eyeball moves now and i think it is the grossest weird doll almost scary but she loves that doll and wont let me replace it with any other. ANyway, the little girl will not go to bed tonight and her dad is almost home from the gym so i better sign off of here and get her down before he comes home and catches her up again.lol.

topic for tonight.. ANGER..

Okay i don't usually go down this road to much but i wanted to share my thinking on a subject that i well.. was thinking about today. It's so hard not to get angry with stuff. I mean the drivers out here are crazy and i find myself gripping my steering wheel sometimes so i don't swear. lol.. Lilly is constantly doidn what the soon to be three year old does best and that's terrorize her mama.. and while i love being married to my darling husband i can only remind him to shut drawers or clean up after he eats a snack in bed soooo many times before my head might just explode!! So i was listening to k love today and they had a segment about anger on there and i began to do some thinking on it. Seriously who doesn't get angry.. Then i thought well i know anger isn't the bad thing. ITs when you keep the anger and it become bitterness that it's bad. Everyone has heard the saying don't go to bed angry.. well that's from the bible. Ephesians 4:26
"BE ANGRY, AND yet DO NOT SIN; do not let the sun go down on your anger," I try in my marriage to not go to bed angry but it doesn't always happen and then a new day comes and i have to ask forgiveness and make up with allan.
Also i think that i'm not alone in the fact that i do hold on to some things a little longer than i should probably but really anger from the past should be acknowledged. Amends need to be made or you will keep holding on to that same anger. Apologies even for silent anger ( like when you are ticked and cussing out in your head that person in the other lane) should be made. We also need to apologize for not loving people as we should have. There is a scripture about this too.. James 1:19-20[This] you know, my beloved brethren. But let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak [and] slow to anger for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.
The bible does NOT say NOT TO BE ANGRY. This is an emotion that god put inside us. Jesus himself chased people with a whip when he got mad. I"m pretty sure if i chased someone off with a whip you would know i was pissed and you would probably think i was insane.. lol. So I'm going to try to work on any past anger that i have and i would encourage everyone else to take a look too.
So that was the bible part.. here comes the medical part. lol ive known for a long time that angry people are generally not healthy. Also people that stress too much. STress can do some weird and amazing things in a body but we will save that for another time..

Okay here are some blurbs that i have taken from the web..

There are several types of headaches that can occur arise from anger. Tension headaches generally aren't very well understood, but the common description is that you feel like there is a tight band around your head, or that your head is in a vice grip. Migraine headaches can arise from anger and have very serious symptoms that can debilitate individuals who experience them. Hormone headaches arise from imbalances in hormones that occur, usually in females going through a menstrual cycle and usually accompany fluctuating feelings such as anger and sadness.Read more: http://www.livestrong.com/article/179941-headaches-from-anger/#ixzz0ytqG2InU

A high risk of a heart attack is one of the main health issues caused by anger
It is estimated that there is a 65% higher chance of being a cigarette smoker if you normally experience intense anger such as rage than if you usually experience mild anger, that is irritation. This is due to the fact that smoking cigarettes may somehow help alleviate the stress and anger that one may feel

Researchers from Yale School of Medicine carried out a study that found a link between changes caused by anger or other powerful emotions and potential arrhythmias and sudden cardiac arrests that each year lead to 400,000 deaths.

So lets all live long healthy lives and not be angry anymore.. lol. easier said than done but i'm totally working on it. ;-)

diet dealings

Okay so my friend anna tried the diet before i did. She lasted two days and said no way.. it wasn't for her. She is going to do weight watchers instead. It lets her have about 1100 calories a day which she thinks is a lot more reasonable. So i started my diet today. I have to say after today i might agree with her. This is crazy!!! The morning wasn't so bad. I had more than i was suppose to all day though and still thought it was hard and crazy. I think just knowing you aren't suppose to eat things makes you want them. I had an orange and a bagel and a tiny bite or two of soup but that even put me at like 300 something calories. So i took the vitamin b12 and held it under my tongue this am and it tasted okay but burned for some reason. The bottle has a warning about niacin making you flush so maybe that is it. lol.. Then this afternoon i tried the hcg stuff. It really didn't taste like anything. i had a handful of popcorn with lilly and then tonight i made a meal that i had bought from an hcg diet kitchen.. thought that it was going to be a good idea.. nope. That thing didn't even look like something i wanted anywhere near my mouth. i tried one bite and almost gagged. i think they used alot of ginger in it. I hate ginger. So anyway i have been counting calories today but am no where near 500 probably more close to 1000. The good news is that i have not had a soda all day. there are something like 170-190 calories in each mt dew and i have been an avd mt dew drinker. I did gget a bad headache but took some tylenol and it is gone now. The bad news.. allan is bringing me something to eat. I told him to get the smallest sandwich from wherever he went. Then i looked up the calories for that to see where i'm at. I'm guesing i'm close to 1000 today. So did i stick with the HCG diet.. sadly NO. But am i still way under for calories and watching what i'm eating .. YES!! so i still consider day 1 a victory. I'm not going to weigh myself for a while but when i do i'll start posting if i lose any lbs!

We tried a church this morning

We tried out a church this morning. We decided it was time to go try out a church and to start the process of actually picking one out. We need a home church here to call our own so we had been talking about going to our friends church and we never made it there yet. We had seen a billboard that was a weird ad for a church. The ad was a couple pointing their fingers at each other and it said our lame sex.. who's to blame. It didn't say anything about church. I had seen the billboard before driving down the freeway and anyway they did a bit about it on the news and it was surprisingly a churches billboard. I guess they are doing a whole segment on intimacy and sex and all that and what the bible says about it all. Anyway it was also thae church that i keep seing a ton of bumperstickers for. It's called cornerstone. So this morning allan was suppose to work but he took a sick day because he was running late and wasn't really needed and emma is here to. So we made today our church experimenting day. We tried it out. I really have no complaints except that it was huge. ( probably doesn't help that it's a holiday weekend and we wen't to the busiest service) They have 5 services on sunday which i like cause you can always make it to one no mattter what you got going on. They even have one at 5 pm at night. They do have tons of small groups so i guess if we like the church enough we could get involved in one of those to not feel too swallowed up. The kids area was amazing.. Emma went to her 2nd grade classroom. All kids her own age. I liked that. I don't like when they are mixed in with older kids. I don't care if it's church or not things can happen with big and small kids being together and it wigs me out a bit. Anyway she liked it a lot i think. Lilly went to her only 2 year old class. i asked emma what she did whiel we went to church and she listed about 6 things none of which were "churchy" at all.. so i asked her did they even talk about god or have a lesson at all? she told me they did talk about respecting one another and treating people like you want to be treated. So that was okay. I was worried that they had just kept the kids busy and that isn't what i want them to do. I want them to hear about god when they go to church. Anyway lilly had colored a bible picture but she didn't tell me what else she did. lol.. Allan and i are not sure abou tthis one just yet. We may go a time or two more and see. They were in the middle of the sex lectures.. lol that is what we have named them lol. It was interesting. They had a girl come in and talk shen had been in a prostitution ring and had gotten saved from it. I guess their church is also doing some big ministry with that because the sex slave rings are very much a real thing in phoenix. They say that everyone thinks it is an immigrant thing and all that but it's like 85 percent white american girls. So it was interesting to listen to everything but i want to see how one of their actual sermons go. I think they said they have a total of 6000 people now. it doubled in the last two years. of course we didn't see 6000 we were only at one service but i guess i could believe it. phoenix is pretty huge.

second try at a home movie

This video is made for sandy. We hope you feel better. Lilly gave this video her stamp of approval( she shouts at every picture she sees.. yells people's names out) She enjoyed making it with me and i hope you enjoy watching it. I know you miss the kido's and they miss you but we will take plenty more pictures and make a lot more videos like this one soon.

prayer requests

feel better Pictures, Images and Photos

I want everyone to keep Sandy, allan's mom, in your prayers if you can. She has came down with the shingles. From what i've learned in school it's a grown up version of the chicken pox but it travels down nerve pathways and can be severely painful because of this. We were taught that during the worst of it some patients actually have to be sedated. She is still at home recovering and we wish her well soon.

Also please keep allan's sister liz in prayer tomorrow. She has a doctor apt for some laproscopic surgery. They are going to take a look around and see what needs to be done so pray for knowledge for the doctor to do what is best and that his hands are guided by the lord.

WE wish you both speedy recoveries! Sorry i can't come nurse you both back to health, but you guys are on my heart.
