forgiveness

Forgiving is hard but forgetting i think is nearly impossible. I guess anything worth doing is worth doing right though. Right? I think we are all trying to work hard on forgiving. It's a struggle so please pray that it can happen. We need to forgive in order to be forgiven of our own sins. I know i have sinned and i probably do so pretty much on an everyday basis. ;-( It's true I'm human. We all sin and fall short of the glory of god. But I'm trying and I encourage everyone that reads this to try and forgive someone that may not even know they hurt you. Try to just honestly forgive them. It feels good when you do. ;-)
I was encouraged from what i read on Mirya's blog. That's allan's aunt. She has a blog and this is what she posted there. I thought it was good so i'm stealing it and posting it here.
TWO FRIENDS WERE WALKING
THROUGH THE DESERT.
DURING SOME POINT OF THE
JOURNEY THEY HAD AN
ARGUMENT AND ONE FRIEND
SLAPPED THE OTHER ONE
IN THE FACE.

THE ONE WHO GOT SLAPPED
WAS HURT BUT, WITHOUT
SAYING ANYTHING,
WROTE IN THE SAND:

'TODAY MY BEST FRIEND
SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.'

THEY KEPT ON WALKING
UNTIL THEY FOUND AN OASIS
WHERE THEY DECIDED
TO TAKE A BATH.

THE ONE WHO HAD BEEN
SLAPPED GOT STUCK IN THE
MIRE AND STARTED DROWNING,
BUT THE FRIEND SAVED HIM.

AFTER HE RECOVERED FROM
THE NEAR DROWNING,
HE WROTE ON A STONE:

'TODAY MY BEST FRIEND
SAVED MY LIFE.'

THE FRIEND WHO HAD SLAPPED
AND SAVED HIS BEST FRIEND
ASKED HIM, 'AFTER I HURT YOU,
YOU WROTE IN THE SAND, AND NOW
YOU WRITE ON A STONE, WHY?'

THE FRIEND REPLIED
'WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US,
WE SHOULD WRITE IT DOWN
IN SAND WHERE WINDS OF
FORGIVENESS CAN ERASE IT AWAY.
BUT WHEN SOMEONE DOES
SOMETHING GOOD FOR US,
WE MUST ENGRAVE IT IN STONE
WHERE NO WIND
CAN EVER ERASE IT.'

LEARN TO WRITE
YOUR HURTS IN
THE SAND AND TO
CARVE YOUR
BENEFITS IN STONE.

THEY SAY IT TAKES A
MINUTE TO FIND A SPECIAL
PERSON, AN HOUR TO
APPRECIATE THEM,

A DAY TO LOVE THEM,

BUT THEN AN ENTIRE LIFE
TO FORGET THEM.

I'm so glad that this story touched your heart like it did mine. You're right, we are all human and fall short of the glory of God. But praise His all Mighty Name that He forgives us when we ask for His forgiveness. Our slate is clean! When Jesus saves our souls from the pits of hell, he cleanses our soul with his blood, so that we might spend eternity (with Him) in Heaven. Just because you are Christian, doesn't mean you are without sin. I think that's what makes it so hard for us as Christians because there will always be sin in our life. Life here on earth makes it so much harder for Christians because we are no longer blind and we see what is wrong and right. We have a choice each day we breath. Life's too short - don't sweat the small stuff that could end up being a log in your own eye.

I don't know your situation as you wrote in your blog, but I would like to accept your request and pray for you. Please pray for me as well that God will lead me down the paths of righteousness.

Love you guys very much!
