how gorgeous is it!??

The weather today was amazing. i gues we had what you would call a cold snap come thru today. I went outside today at 11ish and usually it is already burning heat from above! It wasn't today it was perfect. its like 77 right now at 11130 at night with a slight breeze blowing not like the crazy blow you over winds of casper. We went and hung out with anna and jeff and zane tonight and grilled out hotdogs. Lilly and zane were jumping on a bed at one point and bumped heads or i should say his head into her nose. She was crying one of those wrodless screamless cries before anything comes out and so i was trying to pick her up and comfort her and i saw blood drops all over the bed and couldn't figure out what was bleeding and if it was her or him.. It was her nose. Her first real nose bleed. She did pretty good though. She wanted to wipe it herself and didn't want me to pinch it or wipe it for her and definetly didn't want me to stick anything in there but we managed to get it stopped and then she was fine. She really handled it pretty good. i was suprised. Tomorow we are heading to fallbrook california to see my dad. I think we are going to see my aunt and my great grandmother too. Shoudl be a good time. I wish allan could go with us but it will still be a good trip. I need to get myself and lilly to bed so we can be fresh for the trip tomorrow. seriously who does she think she is??

today has been long so i'm going to make this fairly short. lilly is in bed watching finding nemo after a long night of swimming in the pool and playing with zane. my title is referring to lilly... yes i took her to daycare today for the 3rd time. This daycare is big on getting them potty trained i guess. Anyway after the lst time she went she came home and amazingly took that poop in the potty. well she hasn't used the potty since then. she has sat on it but not went. today when i went to pick her up the head teacher said she had been really good and took a nap and told me all the stuff they normally tell you and then she she threme for a loop.. these are her exact words, " lilly stayed dry all day so i was goign to see if you wanted to put her in panties the next time she comes" i just stood there staring at her like she had lost her mind. then i asked "what do you mean she stayed dry?" thinking she didn't have any wet diapers and that maybe she was dehydrated. she said " um she used the toilet all day and didn't have any accidents" then i started staring at her again.. lol in astonishment. we talked about it and i told her that lilly has never peed in the toilet for me other than a few drops a long time ago that i don't even count anymore. So we agred to just leave her in pull ups for now and that we would play it by ear. Sure enough we come home and i ask her like six times if she wants to go to the potty and even try to get her in there once and nope nothing.. saggy diaper again. I'm sure that it's seeing all the other kdis pee in there that makes her want to and lilly did give me a high five when she walked into my bathroom while i was peeing so she nknows it's something good to do it. so besides the crazy toileting they also went on and on about how polite she is . they were suprised to hear her say " no thank you" when they asked her if she wanted to color.
Besides that we don't have much news. We are getting the house appraised on monday i guess and they may have the furniture in it appraised to see how much it is worth so we can make an educated offer after that. i told them we would wait to hear on both of those if they could get it done before wed when allan has to go back to work on thursday. We worked out having emma on fathers day even though allan has to work. We are going to meet up with jenn and pick her up and keep her for a week. Oh and i guess there is a crane crew out at allan's work that he is interested in. i guess its pretty simple work but physical. the key is though.. it's straight dayshift!!!! yep so he is going to ask more about it. not sure if its really somethign he would seriously consider or not but he is going to find out more about it.
we are still going out to california this weekend. I'm thinking we will head out on saturday and stay at my dad's house that night then head back late on sunday probably or early monday depending on if we get to see everyone or not. i plan on taking lilly to see her great great grandmother. i never knew my great great.

no sleep for the weary

I think I'm taking allans schedule to heart. Its almost midnight and I just can't sleep. I have thoughts about our hopefully new home in my head, and about someday taking my nursing test, and lilly potty training.. did i tell you that she pooped on the pot? i'm not sure if i mentioned it or not. She did once. they are working hard at the daycare training her to potty. lol.. anyway she did it and we cheered her on and gave her a cookie and high fives and hugs! anyway i just went out to the porch and it felt hot so i looked up the tem p and it says it is 90 right now at 1133 at night. yep.. ouch! We took lilly and her friend zane to sonic today and it was miserable sitting outside in the heat. almost unbearable. I guess that's why we are staying up late too. It's not unusual to see parents playing with kids in the park at 10pm here. It's the only time it's cooler i guess. it's strange but i guess people just do stuff later or earlier and try to stay out of the heat during the day. I feel wiped out i guess from the heat but i'm not sleepy enough to fall asleep. I guess part of it is not having allan home too. I never sleep good when he isn't home. I just am so use to having a routine with school for the last two years and always having something that needed to get done and now there is nothing that needs to get done, nothing demanding my attention. Iknow some of you would kill to have this kind of free time to enjoy but it feels weird to me and i just can't get use to it. I enjoy having time to hang out with lilly. I really do. tonight i rocked her and sang praise songs that i knew to her. I remember my mom doing this when we were little and i just loved it and felt so at peace and protected. I use to do it all the time when she was tiny and that was how i got her to sleep. it worked again tonight. it felt good to comfort her and make her relaxed. She has been such a good girl and she has taken this whole move so well. I feel really blessed to have such a good sweet kid. She has such good manners for a two year old. dont ge me wrong she is a two year old and is very familiar with tantrams and saying ' mine" and "share" telling people to share is her big thing right now. However, she has the sweetest little manners. She always says please and thank you alot. She also says sorry and excuse me. it's so cute and it catches people off guard i think cause i constantly get comments from strangers about how cute she is for saying "oh excuse me".
anyway i guess this was just some random thoughts before i try to close my eyes and make myself sleep. what is everyone else up too? anyone got any good or interesting news? i'd love to hear it.

This one above is of the only thing i don't lik ein the house. it has this wall paper in here that i really don't care for. it's not horrible but i don't love it. Its the bathroom on the first floor that all guests would be using so yeah might change that up.

the pink bed above is the room we would be letting aaron use when he gets here... gonna have to make some changes to that room since it's so obviously girly. lol..but the walls are tan and the baby blue isn't horrible if we just matched it with more guyish things and got rid of all the pink girl stuff.
This room is lilly's and we think emma and her will share a room for the time being. We just don't want to hear them fighting and telling the other one to get out of their room or off of their stuff we want them to bond so they are going to share a room. We will probably get them some bunk beds for their room.

this is part of the master bath.it has two sinks in it and two medicine cabinets and a huge storage closet the sinks aren't together like a his and hers they are seperate in each corner but both are gorgeous. this is looking into the bathroom of the master from the bedroom. each of these closets are walk-ins. This is perfect for us because i'm always trying to take over allan's half of closet. This way he can have his own.. lol(if i don't take over half of that one)
this is at the top of the stairs when you come up them. Its a loft area. We actually like that it's a play area for the kids, so we will probably keep it like that but the other idea is to turn it into a big office area.

these are pictures of the house. i'm not going to go thru individually and tell what each thing is but i'll let you see them for yourse3lf. OH and you guys must have been praying because we got the word today that we can go ahead and make an offer! we feel even at full price that we are getting an amazing deal on a brand new never lived in home! we really feel like god lead us to the perfect realtor that new all the right questions to ask i was a tad frustrated before with the short sales but she has donena amazing job with this. onmonday we are ging in to make an offer. they said they wouldn't do anything with it till then. We won't get tomove in till oct but that's when our lease is up so it is really just all working out. even the decor is decorated all most perfect for us! lol. there is one downstairs bathroom i'd like to change and one upstairs bedroom that needs to be changed but tha'ts it!

We may have found the one..

We went out looking for houses yesterday with our realtor. We saw about 10-15 more houses. There were a couple that we liked well enuogh to put offers on. there is one that backs up to the golf course and has a pool and is all one level which is great cause it's hard to cool two level homes here. The other is a huge home like a 5 bedroom, 3 bath, pool, mutliple family room home that is priced way under what we think it should be at. These two homes are short sale homes though and we have been trying to stay away from them. We loved this other short sale home but we found out it had two offers in and they can only look at the first two before they look at yours so there was basically no point in even putting in an offer now. So blah blah blah on short sales. The one that we fell in love with and allan can't stop talking about.. is also a maybe. It is out in queencreek where sometimes you can get a cheaper home cause it's on the outskirts of everything. We looked at all the resale homes and short sales we could then our realtor said well we were right by a new home place and she wanted to sign us in so we could go look at some new homes. So we did and they had a 4 bed room 2 bath 2.5 car garage floorplan so we decided to go see it. We drove out to one that was just getting done and it was pretty. we really liked the floorplan. All the bedrooms were upstairs.. and yes i told you it was hard to cool a two story but this is centex homes that we are looking at. They are known here for their efficiency. It tells you what your electric bill should be if you buy that house. Oh and i guess termites can be horrible here in arizona so another big plus is they run tubing in the walls so they can come hook up and spray directly into the walls without you having to get your kids and dogs and what not out of the house because of the smell and all that. So that was really neat. So when we went back to the office we asked to see the model.. The model has a pool and a fun back yard and everything is painted and well it's the model so they want it to make people buy a house. It has 40k worth of upgrades in this model house. Every appliance is brand new and the best whirlpool appliances they offer with energy efficient stars. i don't even know what all the upgrades were but there was a big difference in the house we saw that was empty and the model. So we loved the model. We really liked the new empty one too and would have that as our second choice but the model is now our first choice. It was perfect for us. Oh it even had everything set up for little girls rooms so lilly was playing teacups in "her room" and i asked her if it was her room and she said " no it's emma's" So they are going to find out if they can put the models up for sale now or if they have to wait. Either way they say we have to wait till oct to move in which we didn't want to wait but we would for that house and well we have a lease till then anyway so we wouldn't have to pay extra and break it. so we are holding our breath this morning waiting to hear if it's even a go. if not we like the other one well enough it's the same house generally speaking and it has all new appliances too just not the best ones but still good ones. This is good for us because we sold our appliances with the house and those thigns are expensive. Short sale homes really don't have the appliances most of the time so we would hve to buy new ones. Anyway, i'll take pictures if we go check on it again. say a little prayer that we end up in the right home for us please. WE know we will but it doesn't hurt to bring it before the lord.

We had emma's birthday on sunday..

here are the pictures that we took. We had alot of fun swimming in the pool and meeting the rest or other side of emma's family. They were all very nice. They all took to lilly like she was their own too. It was cute. We didn't stay to watch emma open her presents. We had such a busy weekend and tried to squeeze in everything we could but anyway i hear she likes everything.

well we made it.

WE made it thru allan's first week of nights. It stinks big time but we are hoping that it is just temporary. They want to hire like 6 more electricians done here and if they do i guess they schedule will get even better. It can't get worse.. lol. I have made lilly a doctro and a dentist apt. I'm prety sure the dentist is going to have to knock her out to do anything on her teeth. She just won't show them her teeth at all. So they have a person that comes in and assists with that once a month so maybe n the next couple of months she will get her cavities filled. Poor girl. She has to have a doctor apt to get a shot. They require a hep a shot down here for daycare. They didn't in wyoming. So she is going to love that on monday. Emma is coming down today. Jennifer is driing her over and then tomorrow we are having a party for her at one of her aunts houses. Allan is still sleeping for another hour and then he is going to get up and hopefully not be fussy and tired the whole day. lol. On monday we are going to go out with the realtor again. We decided to look in queencreek some more. We just thik we could get alot more home for the money and its close to allan's work. I'll just have to find something eventually that is closer to that area or commute. We are looking at houses with pools again too. There is one that we just really like out there but it has an offer on it already too. all the good ones have an offer already. lol.. but it will be fun to look. We really want to get in our own house soon.

first night done.

It wasn't so bad..alllan went to work last night and lilly and i saw the shrek movie with friends. The movie was cute but lilly didn't want to sit down and be quiet this time she wanted to play and talk. So after that we grabbed some food court grub and then came home. Oh side note we were at an outdoor mall that has a splash pad in it.. becuase it was night they had all their trees decorated with lights and there were a ton of water fountains too it was like a little magical world in there. Oh and right before we left lilly was running and fell down she smacked her head right on the concrete floor. The very front of it she has a big round bruise. So i got to come home and worry about her having a slow bleed and if i should let her sleep or not.. lol. She is fine and still with us this morning so i guess it's just one bruise. I never made allan his spaghetti yesterday so i for sure have to do it today. He had left over meatloaf to take with him yesterday but that's all gone so i have to spend some time in the kitchen today. I also have to run to the store and get some supplies like toilet paper and such today.
Our realtor has finally started sending us some more houses to look at on email. There is only one that i like but i'm wondering if it has alot of offers on it already or not.. So maybe we will look at a house if it doesn't have a bunch of offers yet. Anyway, time to get crackin around here. see youlater

wow the jackpot..

Walmart here has the cutest little summer dresses for 5 dollars. They have all different kinds of them. i stocked up on dresses for lilly today. i bought her like 5 or 6 of them. They are just perfect for this weather. Sunday is suppose to be the first 110+ day.. not looking forward to that. I tell you though the evenings are perfect right now and athe mornings too. I love sitting on the porch in the morning and night time. Last night i was up at like 2am and i went outside and it was magnificent. Just perfect like 70 something.
Today lilly showed me that she picks up things quick.. yes while emma was here i had to talk to her about not locking doors. Not really sure why she wanted to keep locking the doors but now i have a 2 year old that locked me out of the office today. Yep i was going in after her and she shut and locked the door.. lucky for us both she unlocked it just as fast but it made my heart skip a beat thinking if i had anything to unlock it or break in with.
Ive had a bit of a delay on taking my test down here. Lots of my fellow classmates have scheduled theirs but i guess down here in arizona they are a bit backed up on things in the state board office. They haven't either recieved or processed my transcripts so until they do that they can't release me to test. Once they release me to test i can schedule a test date online but for now i'm stuck in the mudd..
Tonight is allan's first night shift. Lilly and i are going to go see the new shrek movie with some friends. After that i got no plans other than to come home and fall into bed. sheww you do 15 minutes outside right now and it zaps the energy right outta you. I suppose it's because i have these awful sinus/allergy stuff going on right now. It's not as bad today as it was yesterday. yesterday my nose was like a faucet and my eyes were even watering. So many pretty blooms on everything but my nose hates them all i guess. Did i mention that i swallowed my first pill ever yesterday! Yes i am almost 30 and have had a kid and had my wisdom teeth taken out which are two totally painful things and i didn't take pills with either really. Yesterday i was just goign to give it another whirl since my allergies were killing me. I took out a claritin from allan's thing and thought "well it's pretty tiny" i got a bottle of water put the pill in the cap of the water put some water on it and threw it in the back of my mouth then chugged the water as fast as i could. I felt it in my throat and thought " nope this isn't going to work" and then next thing i knew it was down the hatch!! lol. i'm sure i mentioned it in my last posting. I didn't try it again today but i'm tempted to try another pill just to see if it was a fluke experience. HAHA. Anyway i gotta get to making some spaghetti up for allan's lunches. hope everyone had a wonderful memorial day weekend. We sure did.
