i'm hating blogger righ tnow. i can't leave comments on like half of peoples sites. Jenn if your reading this i tried like 12 times to leave you one tonight. apparently if you use the the comments embedded link it makes it where people can't always comment. I changed mine to one of the other options now. helppp i need help figuring out what in the world is wrong or i'm gonna have to quite and change to something else.

what a good girl i have!

Allan got off work this am and we set off on our day. Poor guy is tired tonight. He had a dental apt and found out he needs a deep cleaning but had no cavaties. So we got that scheduled. I got groceries while he was at the dentist so we unloaded those and stocked the house back up. Then we went to a bbq place and ate. It was really yummy and in downtown gilbert which we love. It has all these old buildings and houses. After that we headed to lilly's dental apt. She complained of her toothe hurting last night and i called today cause it has been a little over a year since she went in. Last time she went to the dentist it was a nightmare. She did fine but she had so many cavaties they had to knock her out she ended up with a mouth full of silvercaps and white caps and her back teeth sealed. I was nervous to say the least about going back this time. I had been prepping her for the dentist for a while though cause i knew she was overdue. They had a last minute cancel and took her in today. So i was so suprised. The lady came out and asked her a couple questions and lilly took her hand and walked back without me to get xrays. I was listening around the corner to their chatter. It was cute she kept telling the lady she was 6 and emma was 3. ( so apparently we need to work on the age concept). I thought they would come get me in the waiting room when they were done with xrays but after a few minutes nothing was happening.. I went and asked if she was done with the pictures. they said i could go on back. She was already laid out on the chair with the rag across her chest talking to the lady and letting her look in her mouth. I was so impressed. I went and sat on the end of her chair and patted her leg but she was completely relxaed and didnt care at all. I could tell she got a bit nervous when they broke out the power tools to gloss her teeth but she opened up and let them. Then they flossed her and washed out her mouth and used the suction thing. The dentist came in to take a peek at the xrays then checked out the spot she was saying hurt her. He put the mirror in and a little poke around and said no cavaties he could see and that she had excellent hygeine. WOW!!! they said they would like to see her every 6 months so of course i apologized for being so late but she had a clean bill and no problems at all. They gave her stickers and a new toothbrush and toothpaste and a little floss stick which she carried around with her in a bag for the rest of the day telling everyone about her big dentist trip. ;-) she is growing up.. sniff sniff. I was really proud of her though. They kept talkign about how adorable she was and she kept making them giggle. It was a very pleasant trip compared to the last time that was just plum nerve racking. i went and visited mom and aaron after the dentist so lilly could share her good girl story. Mom is having a b day party. All her swimming pool pals are coming over for a potluck and to celbrate her birthday that just passed. So happy late birthday again to LALA and to PAPA Wade also. I still think it's funny that you to have the same birthday down to the year. I'm having an off year on birthdays and occasions. Most years i'm really great at sending out cards or presents but this year I kinda took a break. Maybe I'll start again next year. who knows. WE just have a lot going on this year right now so we will see. But I did want to say happy birthday and i was thinking about you all.
Tomorrow we have a one year home inspection. I guess they come and look for any flaws in the major areas. cracks and roof and insulation etc.. We have a landscaper coming by early in the morning. We are trying to get one set up for later on. They are pretty cheap out here so it always seems like a good deal. I don't mind mowing but I hate after i chop the bushes having to pick up all the dead stuff and i hate scorpions and i'm always afraid i will find one during that so the yard guy makes it look easy he has all the right tools and just blows the stuff out.
Lilly has a new show. Do you all remember the show " perils of penelope pitstop" ? it's an oldie. SHe is in LOVE with it!! calls it her " girl show" she knows all the names to the characters and wants to watch it all the time. haha. I had to record some episodes because it only comes on once a day at like 930pm. Guess it isn't a big hit with kids these days. But it's right up her alley with traps and a car named chugaboom and the hooded claw( villian) she loves traps right now. SHe tries to trap everything. THis girl just lights up for this show. she starts laughing and smiling and yelling out things. too funny. So anyway i mayhave to google some penelope pitstop things and see if i can find anything for a bday present and hope she still likes it in december. Anyway it's nighty night time for me. I'm behind and can't stay up with blogging. We just have a ton going on right now. Allan has a new job offer we are praying and thinking about. My sister was here for 9 days so we were cramming things in. My moms birthday is in two days but I have to work and she will be watching lilly so I tried to fit something in tonight for that. I madde her a german choclate cake (her favorite). Emma is here right now. Its a school night.. the first ever school night in our house. Wrap all that and two jobs and going to school ourselves and that is what we have been up to lately. Needless to say I have found that I like moscato d asti wine.. haha. I'm tired and thinking about having a glass and a hot soak. Good night world.

oh the stress..

Ok not to sound like a complainer, cause I am very happy to have a job, but if any of you have went thru state inspections you will know what I'm talking about. Ahhhhhhhhh. I'm workin tues till Friday this week and the state is here doing their survey. The place is a zoo! Yesterday went ok because it was honestly like taking an open book test. Three of them made a line for me and asked me questions about patients. Same questions every time. I was able to look up the answers in my records and I think I did fine. Today is when the madness really starts. They have to watch me perform skills. I do these skills everyday but anytime you have someone watching over your shoulder makes it a little nerveracking.
On a lighter note emma starts her first day of school today. Third grader! Good luck emma. Alright well I gotta go in and face the music wish me luck!

camping at patagonia lake

Yes I'm blogging from the tent. Lol cell phones are the craziest invention aren't they? We got here around 1pm and we put up both tents. We were a little suprised about the campgrounds. Just very close camp sites. Not very shaded and it was so stinking hot. We went straight to the beached off area to swim after the tents were set up. We swam for about 10 minutes and then it started raining. Not pouring just a light sprinkling. It cooled everything off but lasted pretty much all day into the evening. We still cooked hotdogs and made smores. We also took the girls fishing. Its a beautiful spot. They have boat in campsites that are only accessible by boats. Its neat you can see them across the water. Anyway we plan on fishing more tomorrow and swimming and probably renting a paddle boat to go explore. The girls have their bug barns to fill. cali trip

We went to san diego this weekend. It was very fun. Allan and I got there before his friends that we were meeting, so we had time to go poke around. We drove to all our old hang out spots. We went and strolled around in imperial beach. I found some seashells, smooth stones, and one sand dollar that I brought home for lilly. She was so excited about the shells. She knows that some shells make noises but these did not. Too little. After we hung out we met up with billy and jess. Billys sister was getting married. They rented out a whole yacht for a cruise and we went out with them on Friday for that. It was very pretty and boy did the boys take advantage of all the free booze. They served us a meal onboard and gorgeous appetizers. It was very glammo. Impressive. Billys sister is from georgia and is a fun vibrant southern girl. Well she married an iranian man who has 4 sisters. It was an interesting crowd. After the cruise we changed clothes and headed to dinner in the gaslamp of course the boys couldn't go 2 blocks before dipping into another bar. Lol they haven't seen each other in quite a while and I think they were reminiscing about their marine corps days. So we stopped in an italian bar that was having happy hour and had a few 2 dollar beers. Then we went on to dicks last resort. Dicks is a restaruant where the staff is rude to you. Billy is quite the character and it was funny to see how he responded to someone being rude to him. He is like 6 feet 5 and huge and I got the impression that people aren't normally rude to him and if they are they don't live to speak of it.. lol. It was fun anyway. The boys almost had an altercation with some young dumb kids that kept suirting people with waterguns and silly string. They got billy a few times on accident and so that was enough after a few minutes. Security came and tossed the punks out. I honestly think they may have tossed billy and allan out but they probably didn't have enough man power to enforce it if they didn't want to go.. haha. So after that place I decided we probably needed a spot with a upbeat positive enviroment. So we went to the dueling piano bar. I highly recommend these to everyone. We use to go all the time. We had a blast and sung along with the whole bar the rest of the night. The next mroning we had breakfast at a yummy spot called the broken yolk. They have one in phoenix and scottsdale. Its very good.we all ate like we hadn't been fed in 5 days. 8t was all a very good fun time.I didn't take many pictures only about 5 on the phone but ill try to put them up later. Allan and I both have to work this morning and I'm picking up emma tonight. I also have a ton of homework to do need to take em school shopping, and we are planning a camping trip next week so just busy busy as usual. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Just want to wish this AWESOME man I share a life with a very happy 31st birthday! YOu are the best husband ever honey! Hope we have many more birthday's to celebrate together!

lilly pad the mermaid girl

Lilly has learned to use a life vest. We bought her a new one cause the one we had for her was way to little. She just didn't want to wear one at all and was perfectly content to stay where she could touch before. Now she loves to swim in the deep. She begs me to "swim in the deep mom". It's cute and funny. SHe jsut swims all around. She has stopped running in place and now goes onher belly and actually swims. The float vest we bought her has pads in it that you can take one out at a time. Has anyone else used this? I'm thinking it will be good cause she will feel safe using it and little by little i can take them out till she is swimming on her own. I'd love to hear from anyone that has used this type and how it went for you guys? any pointers?
okay anyway i better get back to cleaning and laundry. I've been waiting for the sneaky house cleaning fairies to come all day but i think they missed my house haha..

jobs

Well I went to an interview today. It was a couple positions. One was school nurse but they wanted an lpn. They would of loved to have me being an rn but the pay was low and it wasn't anywhere close to the house. The other job was interesting. They wanted me to teach highschool. Yep they wanted me to teach high school studentsc.n.a. skills to prepare them for their certification at the end of the school year. It was an interesting oppurtunity but I still feel like I'm learning so much as a nurse that I'm not willing to give it up to teach yet. It would be nice to have teaching hours but since lilly isn't in school yet I like working 3 days a week max right now. So all in all I won't be taking either job. I'm going to stick with what I know and keep trucking along on my bsn degree.
